It is National 5-A-Day month. Are you getting enough of your veggies?
Most people aren't. As much of a health-food fanatic I am, I still have trouble getting in that many a day.
Here's what I TRY to do. I start every morning with a green smoothie. Trust me, I know how gross this looks but it is delicious! One of my favorite recipes is from
(neverhome) maker. Here's her smoothie:
Delicious! Additionally, I try to consume one can of V8 Low Sodium Vegitible Juices. I have had lots of luck getting them at
Sam's Club.
So far that puts me up to 3. I'll be honest, I rarely have greens at lunch. I do try to have a few carrots on the side though, putting me up to 4. Add a vegitible in at dinner and I am good to go!
